"Would you mind if i brought my dog to my appointment? She's small and will stay in my lap the whole time."
We get the occasional question about bringing a pet into the salon. We get it, we love animals too. But bringing a pet into the salon is actually against the law here in Albuquerque. Of course, the law makes an exception for service animals and so do we. Only a certified service animals will be allowed to accompany you into the salon. Please leave your fur babies safely at home. Please do not lock them in your vehicle during your appointment.

That depends on the look and grey hair coverage you want, but the good news is that there are several ways to conceal grey hair. Heredity will determine when those grey hairs start to creep in. The hair color specialists at Colour Me Beautiful Salon in Albuquerque have helped women – and men – of all ages camouflage grey hair by adding all over hair color, by lightening hair, or by adding a combination of highlights and lowlights.
Balayage is a freehand hair coloring technique where the color is painted onto the hair to create a graduated, natural-looking effect. It mimics the way hair naturally lightens in the sun and provides a more blended and a more maintainable look.
Balayage is a technique where the color is painted on to create a natural, sun-kissed effect, typically focusing on the ends and mid-lengths of the hair. Ombré, on the other hand, is a style where the hair gradually transitions from a darker shade at the roots to a lighter shade creating a more dramatic look.
A double process hair color service requires multiple steps. It's almost like getting two different services in one visit. The first step is applied, processed, and rinsed before the next process can begin.
The frequency of hair coloring depends on the type of color treatment and your hair's natural growth rate. Generally, root touch-ups are recommended every 4-6 weeks, while balayage and highlights can be refreshed every 8-12 weeks. Your stylist can provide a more accurate time frame personalised to you at your appointment.
A single process hair color service is one that can be processed in one step. A single development time, a single shampoo. An example of a single process color is all over color...one shade applied all over, covering the entire head.
A toner is a demi-permanent or semi-permanent color applied to the hair to neutralize unwanted tones, such as brassiness or yellowing in blonde hair. It helps to refine and perfect the overall color.
A gloss service is a single process color but you get a two in one benefit. Using a demi-permanent color, color is applied all over the head with added shine and softness. So if you come in for a haircut in between your big color services, consider adding a gloss service to give your color a refresh.
